Won by 38 Runs
SOA 180 for 7 (Alex Wildman 109)
Witney Mills 142 all out (Hamidullah 3 for 27)
The SOA gathered on a pleasant afternoon at Witney Mills, and as has become accustomed, won the toss and batted. Wildman and Price got things underway with Price unfortunately falling early, bringing Daniel to the crease. Wildman was clearly in one of those moods, and produced a dominant batting display not perhaps seen since Viv Richards took England to the cleaners at Old Trafford in 1984! Bringing up a sublime century with the total just on 121 Wildman propelled the SOA to a total of 180-7 with other contributions from Nicholson and Foster, the latter batting at the dizzy height of number 6.
A tea of Sainsbury's finest sandwich selection, courtesy of the skipper, fuelled the bowlers ahead of our fielding reply. Hamidullah and Crouch opened up with both bowlers taking a couple of wickets. A fine partnership between opener Souch and Captain Dove held up the SOAs progress but the introduction of Nicholson broke the partnership and further wickets for Foster and Hamidullah left President Allen the pleasure of snaring the final victim ensuring a comfortable 38 run win for the SOA.
