A very successful double-header fixture was held at Radley College, despite an arctic wind and the occasional hailstorm. Both games followed similar patterns with the SOA posting scores in the 180s on adjacent pitches before a heavy shower forced declarations at a slightly early tea interval. Both games then went to the last over with Radley overhauling the 'A' XI's total, while the 'B' XI just failed to take the final wicket with Radley still needing another 18 to win.
Seasoned match managers will be in awe of Iain Campbell for raising not one but two sides, although he does have the advantage of the draw of the spectacular Radley facilities.
SOA 'A' 184 for 5 declared (Naeem Bardai Retired Out 71, Ian Crosby 33), Radley College 185 for 5.
SOA 'B' 186 for 5 declared (Russell Hayes 58, Daniel Swindells 44), Radley College 169 for 9.
