SOA won the negotiated toss and elected to have a bat in the sun. Aussie star Ben McCure and Finn Little opened and both started positively. Unfortunately Little fell in the 3rd over for 10. Harry Lazaruk was next in and again started with intent striking his first ball for four! Lazaruk was caught in the 9th over for 8. Captain Ross was next in at four and at 33-2 a rebuild was needed. The pair knocked it around and started to score freely putting on a 164 runs partnership. Before Ross was caught on the boundary for 82. Vinnie Connolly joined McCure and the pair put on an unbeaten 67 run partnership in just 7 overs, with Connolly scoring a quick fire 37* and McCure finishing 101*! SOA finished on 263-3 from 45 overs.

After a fantastic Tiddington tea SOA took to the field with opening Bowlers President Allen and young Jack North keeping things tight early on. With the run rate ever increasing due to tight bowling and ‘athletic’ fielding. Wickets were all that mattered. SOA kept taking wickets at regular intervals using an impressive 9 bowlers (including President elect Craig Foster managing to get 7 overs!) but unfortunately time was the winner and the game ended a draw with Tiddington finishing 168-8 from 46 overs.
