SOA Refresher From Down Under

My Dearest SOA Fellow Members, I have just dipped in to the SOA website for one of my periodic catch ups. Several things struck me. Firstly, the website is without doubt in the finest shape it has ever been. I was stunned to be looking at full details of the Tour that’s just finished including many great photos, including scorebooks! Congratulations and sincere thanks to all involved in keeping things so current and fresh – the Hayes family in particular I’m sure.

Another thing that grabbed my attention, based on the scores, it what a high number of really close and exciting games it would seem there have been this season – particularly on the Tour.

I was most impressed by the smart presentation of the XXIX club from Melbourne and the boat cruise which took me straight back to the equivalent in 2005 that I was fortunate enough to be on.

If the club overall is in anything like the health and vitality of the website, then its future is looking bright indeed.

Many thanks again to you all and best of luck for the final few games of the season.

If anyone from the club is coming out to Sydney for the Ashes, please do get in touch with me either for tips on sightseeing in Sydney or just to catch up for an ale or two.

All best wishes,

Malcolm Alder
