Shiplake Game Abandoned Due To Rain

SOA were 201 for 4 when rain brought any early end to the fixture at Shiplake College on Wednesday 18 May. However, this was not before new match manager Nick Bishop had to avail himself of the extensive medical facilities available. No doubt he will tell you about the rearing delivery from the young athletic opening bowler but from the boundary it looked more like a glancing blow from a deflection off the pad! It was a shame that the rain came as Nick had compiled a balanced and competitive side that were well placed when the stumps were pulled.
